Xpreshon is a free Windows 8 app that can probably be dubbed as the best sports app for Windows 8. This is because it not only allows you to browse through various sports articles (thereby acting as a sports news reader app), but it also allows you to single handedly view the profiles of various sports personalities, tells you about the upcoming live sport events, holds links to popular moments in sports and a lot more. The app is a fully featured sports app with a neat and categorically sorted out interface. The app contains links to videos which are free, and if you are a true appreciator and a sports enthusiast, it also holds links to videos of series to which you can pay and subscribe. The app works in a docked interface as well, while being fully functional, not to mention the fact that it supports live tiles as well. You can also log in to the app to save a few items for easy access when you log in later to the app, or maybe, when you use the app with your id on a different machine.
Xpreshon is easily available and can be downloaded for free via Microsoft’s very own App Store.
How to Use Sports App for Windows 8:
When you open the app, you will be presented with a list of categorically sorted items, each containing a set of items which can be easily opened by clicking on them. (see screenshot below)
You can also access the categories through the in-app control bar, which can be brought up by right clicking on any of the empty area inside the app.
You can access the home of the app, videos, movies, news etc. through this control bar. Let’s say you want to access the news reader view. Just click on the News button.
As you can see, the list of news items is immediately displayed. Similarly you can access the Videos etc. through either the control bar or through the home screen of the app. The app also supports docked view for multitasking, and apart from that, live tile support is also present. This pretty much sums up using the app on your Windows 8 device.

Xpreshon is an incredibly well designed app with an amazing feature set, and its functionality is truly amazing. The app has almost everything to truly satisfy a hardcore sports fan, right from news items, to videos to complete athlete profiles. Even if you’re not a hardcore sports fan, you will love the app for the features that it has to offer.
There’s simply nothing to dislike about this app, if you ask me. Xpreshon is truly every sports fan’s dream come true!
