One interesting feature of this app is that the tiled view that it provides on your Windows 8 device is a pictorial-tile view, so you can find out what the news item is about simply by looking at the tile. Clicking on the tile opens up the news item in a full screen view, and you can read the news in a nice reader interface optimized for Windows 8 devices. You can scroll to the right to reveal more news items, and click on a particular tile to open up the news item in full screen size view. When you open the news item, you will be presented with a minimalist reader view which shows you the entire news item in a scrollable format with the picture of the news item at the top. The app can be snapped to either side of the screen, and thus, it supports multitasking. The news items on the main screen of the app are categorically sorted according to categories like Latest News, Sports, Video etc.

All of you might have heard of the NBC News Broadcasting company. NBC News is the official app coming from the same company, and you can rest assured that the app is extremely smooth as well as reliable! When you launch the app, you will be presented with tiles of news items. The news items which carry a picture along with them appear as pictorial news tiles, and the news items which don’t carry any pictures simply appear as textual tiles. You can simply click on any of the tiles to expand the news item and view it in full screen interface. What I really like about this app is that you can collapse the categories of news items that you are not interested in in the main screen of the app by clicking the Collapse button under each category. These categories then appear as tiles that get expanded only upon clicking on them. The app supports snapped mode.
