RUbotted is a free software that monitors your computer against suspicious activities to see if any bot has infected your computer. After RUbotted has discovered an infection, it will prompt your about same, and will suggest you to scan and clean your computer. You can use any good free antivirus, like Microsoft Security Essentials and AVG.

Bots are a type malware which can take control of computers and make them become part of a network called Botnets. Botnets uses the internet bandwidth to install spam, attack the web server, spread virus to computer and carry out illegal activities. It is estimated that millions of computers are part of botnets, without knowledge of their owners. RUbotted helps in ensuring that your computer also does not becomes a part of Botnet.


RUbotted works in the background and checks for any bot activity on your computer. Once RUbotted detected a suspicious behavior, it will immediately notify you so that you can take the appropriate action.

In order to run RUbotted, your computer must be connected to the internet. If the computer is connected to the internet via  a home local area network, it will automatically use the current network settings. If you want to connect to the internet through a proxy server, click on Settings on the main screen of RUbotted to configure the settings for the new proxy server.

If RUbotted detects a bot, it will attempt to notify you through the system tray icon. Due to the fact that bots are computer worm, you should perform scan and remove them with an efficient antivirus program.

RUbotted supports multiple operating systems including Windows 2000, Windows Xp, Windows 2003 Server and Windows Vista.
