Here’s a list of 3 Vine extensions for Google Chrome. I started the list off with a Vine client for Chrome, which integrates a nice looking Vine browser into the top right “extensions corner” of Chrome. Other extensions that I included mostly revolve around Vine video downloads with one of them even supporting another popular social network service, Instagram, as an added bonus. Let’s see how exactly is that they work.

Vine for Chrome

Vine for Chrome is basically a full-fledged Vine client for Chrome. After installing the extension you’re going to see its icon in the top right corner of Chrome, where extension icons are usually placed.

From there you’ll be able to browse your Vine feed and view vines that other people posted. Click on the Home icon in the top left corner activates, and a menu from where you can switch to a feed of most popular vines, open up the explore mode for browsing through a specific category of vines (music, news & politics, special FX, sports, urban, family, dogs, etc) and lastly access your profile. Commenting, following, sharing is also supported. You will obviously need to login with your account for the extension to work.

Vine Downloader

Vine Downloader is another very useful Vine extension for Chrome that you absolutely have to have installed if you’re a Viner. It lets you download Vine, backup Vines, yours or of other people who you are following on Vine.

To start downloading a Vine video, you will have to right click on the Vine upload date, or if you’re on the Vine page just right click anywhere and select the “Download Vine” option from there. Doing that automatically loads the video into an online Vine downloader and after processing starts the download. Vines are downloaded as MP4 files.

Vigram – Vine & Instagram downloader

Vigram is one of the more interesting Vine extensions that I covered because it doesn’t just support Vine, Instagram is also supported.

Another thing that makes it interesting is the fact that it integrates better into Vine/Instagram. You can see what I mean by that on the image above. Instead of hiding behind the right click context menu, Vigram option for downloading Vines is added to the left sidebar, where social sharing buttons on the Vine page are located. Just left click on that icon and Vine video is downloaded right away, without using any kind of third party websites.

Conclusion

Despite there being quite a few other Vine extensions available in the Webstore, a lot of them didn’t work, so they didn’t make it to this list. Out of the ones that did make it to the list I would recommend you to try Vine for Chrome and Vigram. Both of them are going to come in handy for Vine users who are also Chrome users. Let me know what you thoughts are and which extensions for Vine you use by leaving a comment down below, as usual.
