Illuminate Your World is a free app for Windows 8 and 8.1 which allows you to test your eyesight on your device at the convenience of your home. When you launch the app, you will be presented with an interface, wherein you can enter your name and start the test. The eyesight test has three rounds, namely visual acuity check, contrast check, and color blindness test. The app makes for a great download on your device if you want to perform basic tests on your eyesight without visiting a doctor.

Main features of Illuminate Your World for Windows 8 and 8.1…
When you install and launch the Illuminate Your World app on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device, you will be presented with the below interface.
When you click on the Start Test button, you will be able to enter your name. The name can be entered in the field shown in the screenshot below.
Once you click on the start button, you will be presented with a screen where you will be shown the basic instructions. The instructions screen will tell you about how to handle the app.
Simply click on the button and you will be able to start the test. The following are the types of tests:
1. Visual Acuity Check
You have to click the arrows where the circles are open.
2. Contrast Check
Here, the same principle is followed as the visual acuity check, by clicking the arrow where the circle is open.
In the contrast test, the color of the circle diminishes with each circle.
3. Color Blindness Test
Here, you will be able to check if you are color blind or not.
TEST RESULTS: Once all the tests have been completed successfully, your eyesight percentage will be displayed on your screen. This is shown in the screenshot below.
You can also Find a doctor by clicking on the Find Doctor button in the above screen. Once you click on that button, you will be presented with a map on the screen where you will be able to see doctors on the map as pointers.
You can click on the back button at the top left corner of the screen to return to the previous screen at any time.

Illuminate Your World is a nice app that allows you to easily and quickly check your vision. I tested this app on a friend who has glasses, and even he could tell that the app works perfectly. Overall the app is well designed and the sound prompts at every stage in a soothing female voice makes the app even better.
