Sophos Free Encryption is a free encryption software that allows you to secure your data with a password encryption. Sophos Free Encryption integrates with Windows Explorer. To encrypt any file, just right click on that, and choose the options added by Sophos Free Encryption. Sophos Free Encryption will immediately encrypt and compress that file.

It can be difficult to store data if you don’t have a strong security infrastructure. Sophos Free encryption eliminate the use of central infrastructure and allows you to share information easily. With Sophos Free Encryption, you will be able to create encryption for an archive by right clicking on a file.

Sophos Free Encryption is integrated with most email clients via the Send-to-e-mail integration. However, it does not encrypt the email itself. For that, you can use free email encryption software like Gold Lock Desktop, or Trend Micro Email Encryption.

Sophos Free Encryption can also create self extracting archives, so that the person who receives the encrypted archive can open the file even if he/she does not have Sophos Free Encryption software. Of course, he/she will need to have the password with which the file was encrypted.

If you just want to zip your files, you can try Free Alternatives to Winzip and Winrar
