Flip AutoCAD is a free flip book creator which you can use in order to create flip books, brochures, and magazines from AutoCAD designs. Large number of different AutoCAD formats are supported, and they can be converted to interactive ebooks with advanced options and page flipping effects. Created flipbooks can be exported to several different formats, including standalone .EXE or .APP if you are using a Mac.
Left sidebar of Flip AutoCAD has everything necessary for adjusting the appearance of the flip book that you’re creating. At the top of the window you can see a classic menu while beneath it there’s an even larger menu where you can start the document import dialog. Notice that next to CAD designs, you can also import PDF documents, PPT presentations, and regular photos and create flip books, but note that this is only possible in the full version of Flip AutoCAD.
Key Features of Flip AutoCAD:
- Good format support, works with DWG, DWT, DWS, and DXF AutoCAD formats.
- Comes pre-loaded with flipbook templates, quickly change appearance.
- Additional tweaking of the flip book possible: colors, fonts, sizes.
- Export the created flipbook as HTML, ZIP, EXE or APP (for MAC).
We already mentioned that next to the free version, paid upgrade is also possible which will allow you to import additional file types, next to CAD designs. Free version can’t open these files and this is the only limitation. AutoCAD has to be installed on the computer in order for Flip AutoCAD to work properly.
How to Convert and Create Flip Books From AutoCAD designs?
First step would be to click on the Import AutoCAD button in the top left corner of the window. This will open up the following window where you can select the CAD design that you want to turn into a flip book, magazine, or a brochure.
Notice that the interface mentions HTML, that’s probably because Flip AutoCAD was created from a very similar application from the same developer which can do the same thing, create flipbooks, but from HTML. There were some shoddy adjustments to the interface but you can still select the AutoCAD just fine by clicking on Browse.
When the CAD file loads, it should be available in the flipbook preview. By clicking on the Templates options, you can change the appearance of the flip book. Dozens of different styles are available. For fine tuning go through the settings down below. When you’re done, click on Convert To Flipping Book and another setup window will pop-up. There you’ll have to choose the format that you want your flipbook to have, click on Convert and open the output directory to collect the created flip book.
Flip AutoCAD is a very useful tool if you want to create a professional looking flip book publication of your AutoCAD designs.
