Let me start off by saying that nobody knows what the future beholds, and these apps and the predictions offered by them should not be taken seriously by any means. However, if you do believe in astrology and horoscope, then these apps will provide you all the information on your Windows 8 PC.
Whether you want to use these apps for fun or for having a look at what the future beholds for you, these apps are definitely worth checking out!
1. Your Horoscope
Your Horoscope is a cool app for Windows 8 that allows you to know the astrological predictions based on your zodiac sign. The app has two categories: Western Signs and Chinese Signs. These two categories are listed in a columnar fashion with each column containing the respective zodiac signs.
The Western Signs or the sun signs as we call them, are the ones that I prefer to use as honestly, I have no clue what my Chinese Sign is. I’m a Libran, so to view my predictions, I clicked on the Libra tile. Upon clicking it, I could see my predictions in a neat paragraph like format, and when I accessed the control bar by right clicking, I could see an option to pin my horoscope to the Start Screen. It’s worth mentioning that these predictions are updated daily, and hence pinning the predictions is a good way to keep a check on your astrological predictions!

2. Daily Horoscope
Daily Horoscope is another horoscope app for Windows 8 which allows you to read what the future beholds for you. You will be presented with a nice Metro styled interface of tiled zodiac signs when you open the app. Simply click on your zodiac and get started with reading the predictions! Just like the Your Horoscope app that we talked about earlier, this app also allows you to pin your Horoscope to the Windows 8 Start Screen by clicking on the tile of your horoscope, and firing up the control bar by right clicking when your horoscope is opened up in a detailed format. Then simply select the Pin button from the control bar and you should be good to go! The app downloads data when data connection is available and allows for offline viewing of predictions as well; but be warned: you may see obsolete data if you haven’t connected to the internet in a while and this in my view is a problem because the app does not show the date when the horoscope data was actually fetched!

3. Astrologer
I love the interface of Astrologer. When you launch the app, you will be presented with an interface that’s not only designed in a native Metro styled UI, but the wallpaper that it has is completely awesome and gives the feel of something futuristic- which is pretty cool because that’s what the app’s about: predicting the future. The app has three categories: Western, Eastern and Vedic. The western signs are your Sun Signs, Eastern are the Chinese Zodiac signs, and the Vedic are your Moon signs, so choose accordingly. The tiles are categorized accordingly and these categories are presented in a scrollable view, with zodiac signs being presented as tiles under each column of category. Clicking on a sign opens up its predictions in a full size. It’s important to note that these predictions are also sorted categorically: predictions for Finance, Daily, Career etc. are listed under the appropriate columns when you open up your sun sign by clicking on it. You can also pin your predictions to the Start Screen, much like the above two apps by right clicking in the full prediction view, and then selecting the Pin option from the control bar.

4. Today’s Horoscope
Today’s Horoscope is a free Windows 8 app that gives you updated predictions of your Horoscope daily (also check: how to get daily horoscope in email). When you launch the app, you will be presented with a categorized and tiled interface which includes three categories: Featured Today, Today’s Horoscope and Tomorrow’s Horoscope. In the above screenshot, only two categories are visible, but you can easily reveal the third by scrolling to the right. Featured Today includes the categories that most users have rated on. When you open up your horoscope in full screen by clicking on your sun sign, you will be presented your astrological predictions in a detailed manner. There are single taglines that tell you about your Day, Love Life, Career, and Money information, and below these is a thoroughly detailed overview of your horoscope. There is no control bar in this app, though, and I thoroughly miss the ability to pin my horoscope to the Start Screen.

5. Horoscope 2014
Horoscope 2014 is one of those astrology apps that let you see an overview of you complete year of 2014 at a glance. Just click on your Horoscope, and you will be presented with a sorted interface which shows you your horoscope. Why do I say it’s sorted? That’s because when you click on the tile of your horoscope, a window will open where there are further category tiles like Year 2014 at a glance, Business at a Glance, Career at a glance etc. to the left side of the screen, which present themselves to you as a vertically scrollable list of tiles. Clicking on each one of these tiles will show you the related content towards the right side of the screen. Again, this app lacks the feature of a control bar and does not allow you pinning your horoscope to the Start Screen, but a good thing is that this app supports snapped view for multitasking!
