Alfresco is a free enterprise content management platform which is available for Linux, Windows and Mac. With the help of Alfresco you can setup your very own document management server, and then use it to share important files with your teammates, coworkers, and colleagues.

What you’re gonna see are Spaces. These are basically folders where you can organize your files. To create new one, click on Create, top right corner. There you can initiate file upload process by selecting Add Content.

By clicking on a certain space you can open details about each file that’s uploaded in it. You can edit metadata or access various different actions, including conversion, which can be seen on the image above. Collaboration settings, meaning sharing settings, can also be edited here. When you’re done, click close and that’s it.
