uTiPu (also known as TipCam) is a free screen recorder that records your screen with a special high performance screen capture driver. The TipCam’s control pad can be minimized into a mini toolbar to prevent interruption during recording.

TipCam offers a number of paramerters. Beginner users should use the default parameters and don’t attempt to change any setting. After you have recorded some videos, the control pad is not necessary anymore and can be minimized. If the video is to be uploaded to YouTube, it should be recorded in 480 X 360 resolution. Voice narration can be recorded to replace the sound track.

If you are performing a standard screen recording, you should not increase the frame rate, otherwise it will cause the video quality to degrade and increase the upload or download time. Mirage Mirror Dirver by DemoForge LLC is the third party device driver that is used by uTIPu. The Mirror Driver will attempt to gain access to the video hardware so Windows will shows some warning messages.
