KaKa is a free karaoke app for Windows 8 with a massive online database of karaoke tracks accompanied with on-screen lyrics. Although the app has a weird name, the app itself is extremely beautifully designed, and the high quality karaoke tracks make the app all the more wonderful. When you launch this Windows 8 karaoke app, you will be presented with a list of popular karaoke tracks. You can either choose any one of those tracks to begin the playback of the said karaoke track, or you can use the search option provided to look up a track that you want to sing, or simply listen to its instrumental version, after all, a karaoke track is nothing but an instrumental track in all its essence.
When the playback of a karaoke track is started, you will be presented with lyrics in which each word gets highlighted so as to tell you which word you have to sing. Amateur singers can find this feature to be incredibly useful. KaKa is an absolutely fun app, and you can sing along to the catchy instrumental versions of your favourite music tracks for hours! Trust me when I say that it is addictive!

Using KaKa Karaoke App for Windows 8:
When you launch the KaKa app on your Windows 8 device, you will be presented with an interface which looks like the below screenshot.
In the above screen, you can see a list of tracks that you can easily play back. Remember that as this is a karaoke app, all the tracks that are listed in the app are instrumental versions so that you can easily sing along to the music track. At the top right corner, there are controls to search for a track of your choice (the magnifying glass button), or you can view all the tracks in the database sorted alphabetically by clicking on the button next to the magnifying glass button. Below is the window that presented itself on my screen when I opened up one of my favorite tracks.
As you can see, you are presented with an extremely beautiful interface, with line by line lyrics flowing across your screen, and what’s more, each word gets highlighted in real time according to the actual lyric-timing inside the original music track itself, making this a perfect karaoke app!

KaKa is a great app for converting your Windows 8 device into a high quality karaoke machine without spending a single penny! I absolutely loved it, and if you are music freak or a budding singer, you should definitely check out this app.
I give this app a solid 4 out of 5.
