CloneZilla is a free Open Source software that serves as a good replacement for Norton Ghost or Symantec Ghost. Clonezilla is used backup and recovery, and disk cloning and disk image creation.
CloneZilla comes in 2 modes:
CloneZilla Live: This is suitable for a single computer, and can run from CD/DVD/USB drive. The image to be cloned can be present in boot media, or even a network file system such as sshfs or samba.
CloneZilla Server Edition: This is a multicast corporate solution for cloning multiple computers together. To clone multiple computers, you need to set up a DRBL server, and the machines should be able to boot from network. Once everything is set up, CloneZilla clones multiple machines very fast.
