All of these apps provide you with this functionality, but they differ in the number of apps you can add and the way you can access them. The best part is that you don’t have to install any specific launcher to use any of them which means you can keep using the stock or your favorite launcher.

2. Next Lock Screen:

Next Lock Screen

Next Lock Screen is the stock lock screen replacement app for Android developed by Microsoft as part of their Microsoft Garage Project. The Next Lock Screen adds app shortcuts to the lock screen automatically depending upon which of the apps you might require at a particular time of the day. There are 3 categories: At Home, On the go, and At Work. The lock screen app arranges the app on the basis of these factors. There are also quick toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. apart from the apps. To launch the apps, you have to double-tap on the icon by default but you can change it to single tap if you want.

Although, the apps are decided by the Next Lock Screen automatically, but you can easily remove the ones you don’t like by tapping and holding on the icon.

As for the settings, you can set separate wallpaper for each of the 3 categories and control the notifications. You can set for what things you need notifications. There is also an App hider which lets you add those apps for which you don’t want notifications to be shown on the lock screen.
