In this tutorial, I am going to explain how to watch Instagram live videos on the web.
Initially, Instagram users were only allowed to browse Instagram feeds and notifications in a browser. A few of the features were lacking before this, for example, Direct Messaging (DMs), Stories, Live Streams. But as time is flying, Instagram is bringing new features and giving you access to take advantage of these features even from the web.
Most of the Instagram features can be accessed on your phone. And, now you can use the same features on the Instagram web. Along with browsing Instagram feeds and posts, you can now view stories, use direct messaging, and watch live streams as well.
Hence, in this article, I am going to show how you can watch live videos in a browser from your Instagram users. Let’s get started.
How to Watch Instagram Live Videos on the Web?
To watch Instagram live videos from your Instagram users in a browser, the first and obvious thing you will do is to log in to your Instagram account.
You can use any browser. Here, I tested it for the Chrome browser only. So once you enter your Instagram username and password, you will find yourself logged in a browser.
Here, you will see the posts from your users which you can scroll to like, share, and drop comments. On the right, you will see the separate section for Stories and Suggestions to follow new people.
This particular area exactly appears as you use Instagram on your phone. Now here in the Stories section, you can watch existing stories from your following/followers.
If anybody comes live on Instagram, you will see the badge that says LIVE next to the username. It indicates that this person from your Instagram following is live on Instagram.
Now, you can simply click on this Live badge and see them right here in a browser that they are doing in a video.
Instagram not just allow you to see Instagram users live but also lets you connect with people by dropping comments.
You can type and enter your feedbacks or comment for the live video. And those who are joining live videos and dropping comments can be seen by you in realtime. You can see the image posted above. Here, you can see the live person with his art-making and those users joining live videos.
Instagram has been in the long race and making user’s experience better every other day. Initially, Instagram’s most of the features can only be accessed by phone. But now you can use the whole Instagram in a browser. You can now watch live videos, drop comments, and catch other Instagram users live instantly on Instagram web.
