Server2Go is a portable webserver that can be burnt on CD ROM, or copied to a Flash Drive. Server2Go webserver was created with CD ROM in mind, to support distribution of those applications on CD that need a web server. Such applications could be based on frameworks like WordPress and Joomla. Using Server2Go, you can copy complete WordPress website on CD. When you insert that CD in any computer, Server2Go will automatically open the start page of the website that you have specified, and you will be able to browse that website on any computer, without needing additional software.

Server2Go comes with a complete WAMPP stack. It supports PHP (5, and older versions), MySQL, SQLLite, Apache, and Perl. Server2Go is perfect if you want to distribute those software on CD that require webserver to execute. Whenever someone runs that CD on their computer, Server2Go will silently start the web server in the background, and will automatically detect ports on the host computer. It will then open browser based on the start page you have specified. It can even throw a custom splash screen based on your settings.

Server2Go supports all the popular browsers, including, IE, Firefox, other Mozilla based browsers, and even external browsers that are distributed on CD Rom.

Server2Go is a great portable webserver, and completely free. You can also use it to carry around your own website for offline browsing later, though an offline browser might be a better idea in some cases.
