ImageMagick is a free image editing software which you can use to convert, resize, and apply various different effects to a wide selection of photo formats. From bitmaps to all the common formats that you come across each day, like for example JPEG, GIF, and PNG images. This free image editing software is very simple to use and it’s cross-platform, available for Windows, Mac, and Unix. How to Edit Images with this Free Image Editing Software:

Well, like we already said in the introduction, the toolbox will appear in the upper menu when you open up an image. Click File >> New and then select the images that you want to edit or click File >> New if you are interested in creating graphics from scratch.

Format support is better than good, all the common formats like JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, and SVG are supported, so you won’t face any problem in opening these image formats. As you can see from the image above, the menu now have editing options. To do something simple, like for example resizing, click View >> Resize. For some of the more interesting effects, you need to open up the Transform menu.

What you see in the image above is the Shear effect where the image is disfigured for a certain number of degrees for X and Y axis. A lot more effects can be found, more than what we can mention here.
