Here is the list of 4 free DWG viewer websites.

These websites will help to open and view your 2D or 3D drawing files available in DWG format (native format for CAD packages). Most of these websites also support other formats, including DXF format. Some of these websites also provide features to share your drawing file with others and let them download your DWG file. Without downloading and installing any DWG viewer software, you will be able to open a DWG file online, and can see the content of that file. Let’s have a look at these free DWG viewer websites.

AutoCAD 360 Official Web App

AutoCAD 360 official web app

AutoCAD 360 official web app (beta) is a fully-featured application that lets you view drawing files, as well as edit those files right from your web browser. It provides multiple tools and also lets you annotate your DWG files. Apart from this, you can also share the link of your drawing with others to let them view and download your file.

You can also invite a person to collaborate with you and edit the drawing. This web app is really handy to view your drawing, edit it, create a new drawing, and share it with people.

You need to create a free account and then you will be able to upload multiple DWG files together on your account. So, it is also helpful to store your drawings on cloud. After uploading the files, you can choose a particular drawing file to view it, and edit it. It may take some time to open your file, but you can expect improvements with updates.

ShareCAD.org

ShareCAD.org homepage

This is one of the important and best website in this list. Apart from viewing DWG files, it supports different CAD and image formats which includes: DWF, DXF, PLT, PLT, HPGL, BMP, JPG, TIFF, TGA, etc. You can also switch to a particular view mode to view your DWG file from different angles. You can also change background color (black or white) to see the drawing lines clearly. Apart from this, it supports zoom in/out feature that will help to focus on a particular part of drawing. You can also take print of your drawing for later use.

One of the interesting features of this website is that it support archives (rar, tar, 7z, zip, etc.) also. So if your DWG or other file is archived, you don’t have to extract it first to open with this website. You can directly upload the archive and view the file content.

You can upload maximum 50 MB size file. It also lets you share your drawing link (remains valid up to 24 hours) with friends. You can also create a free account to store your files on cloud and access previously opened file.

3D Viewer Online

3D Viewer Online

It is also one of the best website in this list. It can be used to open DWG files, DXF files, STL 3D models, STEP files. After uploading a file, you can rotate it to 90 degree counterclockwise and 90 degree clockwise, and can also zoom in and zoom out using mouse wheel. Option to change the default white background with any of your favorite color is also available.

You can also share the link of your drawing with your friends. They will also be able to download it to their PCs. Apart from this, you can also create a PDF file of your drawing, and save it to PC. So, multiple useful features are provided by this website.

Without sign up, you can upload 25 files in a day with 25 MB size limit. However, you can sign up for free to upload unlimited files with 50 MB size.

Online DXF and DWG Viewer

Online DXF and DWG Viewer

It’s a very simple and last website available in this list. As the name suggests, you can open DWG and DXF files (one at a time) using this website. It lets you view your file in full size and also supports zoom in/out feature.

Best feature available here is that it can automatically magnify a particular line or portion of your drawing by just hovering  mouse cursor on your file. So when you want to check a specific portion of your drawing, simply move your mouse cursor over that portion, and it will be zoomed immediately.

This website doesn’t come with extra feature but can help you to view a particular DWG or DXF file. During my testing, it failed to open some sample files, but overall it worked good for me.

Conclusion:

You should try first website when you have to open and edit your DWG files. However, I will personally recommend you to try ShareCAD.org as it provides all the features that should be available in a good DWG Viewer website.
