In this post, I will show you how to automatically generate docs for any GitHub repository using AI. Cluster is a free online tool that helps you do that. It takes GitHub URL of a repository and then generates a documentation for it in markdown format. It basically analyzes the code automatically and then create various sections in the final docs page for you automatically.

In Cluster, a documentation for a GitHub repository is divided in these 4 sections:

  1. Getting Started.
  2. Concepts.
  3. Examples.
  4. Deployments.

It will automatically analyze the code and will create the above sections. But in addition, you can also specify a custom prompt to generate any of the above sections accordingly. It automatically includes the installation instructions along with the dependency management. It will generate the code examples so; the end user can easily understand how to use your GitHub project in development as well as production mode.
