Even though Unattach is a desktop app, the process of installing and setting it up is not that simple. Unattach relies on Java, so you need to have it installed on your PC. You can download that from here and then simply install that.
Now, you download the release of Unattach from here. Extract the ZIP file and then simply open terminal or command prompt in the same folder where the client-3.1.0-jar-with-dependencies.jar is. Run the following command and then its main interface show up where it asks you to sign in using Google. It will give you a link in the terminal that you paste in the browser.
When you open the link, Google authorization page will show up and you just allow it to access it.
Now, come back to the tool and it will now display the configuration page.
From the drop-down, you specify the size of the attachments to include for deletion. And then you just hit the “Search” button.
