This tutorial explains how to automatically turn on WiFi at scheduled time in Windows 10. Earlier, we had options to turn on and off WiFi manually in Windows 10. Now Windows 10 has come with a new feature using which you can turn on WiFi at scheduled time. So instead of pressing the WiFi icon available in system tray and then turning it on manually, you can select any of the preset times to automatically turn on WiFi in Windows 10. You can select 1 hour, 4 hours, or 1 day as schedule time and WiFi will be turned on at that time.

This new feature has come with Creators Update of Windows 10 (which is yet to release). If you are already using preview build of Creators Update, then you can use this feature now. Or else, you can install preview build or wait till the stable release of Windows 10 Creators Update is rolled out publicly.

How To Automatically Turn On WiFi At Scheduled Time In Windows 10?

Step 1: Click system tray icon of WiFi and then turn it off. Do not enable Airplane mode, otherwise, you won’t be able to access option to select time to turn on WiFi.

Step 2: As soon as you turn off WiFi, you will see a new “Turn Wi-Fi back on” option. For that option, there is a drop down menu available. Expand that drop down menu and you will see 4 options: Manually, in 1 hour, in 4 hours, and in 1 day.

Select a particular option (except Manually) and WiFi will be set to turn on automatically on that time.

You can wait till the scheduled time or manually turn on WiFi anytime you want.

The Verdict:

This is another interesting feature Windows 10 has added in the Creators Update. There are many other new features (like Take Screenshot of Specific Area, Change Screen Brightness At Scheduled Time, etc.) introduced in Windows 10 and turning on WiFi at scheduled time is one of those valuable features. I believe this feature will get some improvements and we will be able to select custom time to turn on WiFi automatically. For now, we can automatically turn on WiFi after 1 hour, 4 hours, or 1 day in Windows 10.
