Semplates is a free online tool that allows you to create and manage email templates on Amazon AWS account. Basically, this is a full functional email template builder where you can create custom templates and upload them to your AWS account in a click. It offers a reasonable fee tier in which you are allowed to create 5 templates. It offers your WYSIWYG email template builder, which lets you build templates using custom blocks and HTML code.
In the new template builder, you can create almost anything and even review the final template. And not just visual preview but you can also send a test email. After everything is working fine, then you can publish the template you have created to your AWS account. To connect your AWS account, it asks for your AWS access key and secret ID. You can create multiple templates here and after finishing, simply upload them to your Amazon AWS account.
Free tool to Create, Publish Email Templates to Amazon SES: Semplates
Getting started with Semplates is very simple. All you have to do is create a free account on its main homepage. After the email verification, you can directly start using the email template builder. However, unless you don’t connect your AWS account, you will not be able to send test email or upload them to AWS.
So create your first template here by giving it a name. Now, it will take you to the email template builder, where you can design your template in the way you want. This is basically a visual email template builder Where you can drag and drop different blocks to create the final design. If you want, you can add a custom HTML code in between the template design. You can include images and other multimedia stuff.
After finishing the design, you can now preview the template that you have created. Just hit the preview button and then it will render the template design, and will show it to you.
Now, you need to connect your AWS account here. Go to the “AWS Identities” and then add your AWS account. Here you have to add the AWS access key and secret. You can create an IAM User in your AWS console with SES Full Access policy and copy down the credentials. After connecting your SES account, you need to create an email address. Or choose an existing one from your SES configuration.
Once you make sure that the template looks like as you wanted, you can simply send a test email. The option to do that is there in the template editor itself.
Once you are satisfied with the test email, you can simply publish your template. You can verify it in your account if you want to. Later, you can use this template from other applications/services to send transactional emails or something else.
This is how you can make use of Semplates to create and manage email templates for SES. The process is simple and you can easily create multiple templates and publish them. All you have to do is make sure that you stay in the free limits. If you want more than 5 templates, then you will have to subscribe to a premium plan.
If you are looking for a way to easily manage SES templates, then you are at the right place. With Semplates, you can not only manager them, but create new ones in one of the easiest ways possible. If you use Amazon SES to send transactional emails, then you will really like it. Just give it a try and let me know what you think about it.
