InerziaSmartCalc is an amazing freeware calculator utility. Lightweight and minimal, InerziaSmartCalc supports natural language input. This means that there are no virtual buttons or anything. All you have to do is enter a mathematical expression in your natural language, click enter, and InerziaSmartCalc will instantly calculate the output. Although primarily intended for basic calculations, InerziaSmartCalc also supports a few mathematical expressions (e.g sin, cosine) as well. It runs minimized in the system tray, and can be launched via a single mouse click. You can either enter an expression at once, or add extra parameters to it after the result has been calculated. You can also copy the result to the clipboard simply by clicking on it. Sounds interesting? Let’s find out more.

Well, this small window is all that there is to InerziaSmartCalc’s user interface (That’s a whole new level of minimal, don’t you think?). It’s simple and utterly basic. No buttons, no menus or anything of that sort. All you get is a blinking cursor where you type in the mathematical expression to be evaluated. On top of that, there’s the output area that displays, well, the output of the evaluation. This window can be shown on hidden by simply clicking InerziaSmartCalc’s system tray icon. Pretty simple stuff.

How to evaluate a mathematical expression in InerziaSmartCalc?

It’s super simple. Since this calculator supports natural language input, all you have to do is type the expression as you normally would, and press enter. The moment you press enter, the application fires up the result. You can either delete the output and freshly evaluate a new expression, or add to it. Here’s a little animated graphic, showing this nifty little utility in action:
