Personally I don’t use Bing’s services but whenever I come across the home page I always find an interesting image. So if you like the images that are used by Bing and would want to use these amazing images as wallpaper or lock screen backgrounds then try Bing Wallpaper Viewer for Windows 8.

You can download and install this free app from the link posted at the end of the article. The provided link shall re-direct your browser to the Windows Store from where you can install Bing Wallpaper Viewer for Windows 8 onto your PC. When you will run Bing Wallpaper Viewer for Windows 8 from the start screen you will have the interface as shown below in front of you.

Update: The app has been renamed to Daily Wallpaper Viewer in Windows 8 Store. The links in this article point to the renamed app.

Bing Wallpaper Viewer For Windows 8

The app shows you wallpapers in a simple tile based typical Window 8 design. The tags tell you which week the picture belongs to. The most recent images are shown in the left side of the app window and they get older by week’s as you scroll to the right part of the app window. At max the app shows you images that are 3 weeks old and on the left most part of the app window you will be able to see today’s image.

By default the apps region will be Worldwide, if you would like to switch to a specific region then simply click on the region button from the option menu and you will be presented with the list of 10 regions that you can choose from.

When you click on image of your choice you will be presented with the full image as shown below. Here you will be able to see the image clearly and decide if you want to use it or not. To use the app simply right-click on the app and you will be presented with the option menu as seen below. These options will enable you to set the image as the lock screen background and to download the image. Windows 8 does not allow apps to change the desktop background hence you will have to download the image first and then set it as the desktop background via the file explorer.
