Kidpofy is a free website which lets you turn your child’s handwriting into a digital font. You do require some input from your child and then you can turn his/her handwriting in to a font and install it on your computer easily.

How to convert your child’s handwriting into a digital font:


Open up this website called Kidpofy using the link given at the end of this article. When you open up this website you will see a page like the one you see in the screenshot above. From here click the start button, this will bring up a window like the one you see below.

This window is basically asking you to scan the QR Code it shows using a scanner, so that you can open this on your phone instead of PC. You can either scan the code or choose the button which says “No, I want to stay here”. The website recommends to open the app on your phone or tablet.

Once you have scanned the code, you will be asked to choose a language from the dropdown given at the center of the screen. This can also be seen in the screenshot above. After choosing the language, click the start button. You will be brought to a screen like the one seen below.

This is the editor interface, where you can ask your child to draw alphabets. If you are using your phone or tablet, then the child can easily use his/her finger to draw each alphabet asked. If you are on the PC, then the child will have to use the mouse pad or mouse to draw alphabets. This can be seen in the screenshot below.

The app will ask you to enter alphabets both in small form and capital form one by one. After entering each letter, click on the finish button. This will show you the saved alphabets. Click on the continue button, and keep entering new alphabets which are asked for on the screen.

At the end when you are done entering all the letters click the finish button. When you are done the website will ask you to login or create a account and login. You can also use your Google, Twitter, or Facebook account to login. Once logged in you will be asked to give a name to your font which can be saved with the name of your child along with his/her age. This can be seen in the screenshot below.

After saving the font will be available under your profile in my fonts page. This can be seen in the screenshot below.

To download this font, hover your mouse over this font tile and you will see three options appear; certificate, download, and edit font. Choose the download option. The font will be downloaded to your PC or device in zip format. Now you can easily extract the font file from the zip folder and install the font on your system.

Overview:

Kidpofy is a wonderful app to convert your child’s handwriting in to a font. You just need your kid to be patient and enter all the alphabets one by one on the app. Rest is all handled by the app. You will have a font in your child’s handwriting in no time. Do give it a try.
