The first software to play Pacman is Pacman. It is a simple and lightweight software and supports all the versions of Windows except Windows 8. You can simply download the software, install it, and start playing. Before you start playing, you can see the controls of the game. After that it’s just the game and you. Eat the stars, keep the monsters away, and score as many points as you can. Your high scores are also registered by the software.

Pacman Worlds is the next software in this list that you can have on your system to play Pacman. This is the 3D version of the original game and the graphics are also different. However, the aim of the game remains the same. You have to collect all the hidden stars and keep scoring points and the demons with special powers will chase and try to eat you out. This version of the game is much more challenging but it also fails on certain grounds like graphics. It ain’t that addictive either.

Pacman EX is the next software in this list. This again is a modified version of the original game and is brilliant. It has good graphics and interface of the game is totally different and interesting. There are different maps (levels) that you have to go through and save yourself from the demons. To make things interesting and competitive, the software also shares your scores online with other users.

All Stars Pacman:
The list of modified version of the original Pacman game just gets bigger with All Stars Pacman. This is another interesting version of the game with the same aim. The interface is completely different and looks quite interesting. On the right side of the interface, you can even see interesting stats like number of dots eaten, total ghosts eaten, distance travelled, and the lives left. This is the exclusive feature of this software that I did not find in any other freeware.

Deluxe Pacman:
Deluxe Pacman is the fifth and final free software in this list to play Pacman. An upgraded, or modified interface, options to adjust volume, option to adjust play in full screen mode, etc. These are features that you get in this software, along with the game. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that no other version of the game is installed on your PC. The game will not run properly otherwise. Other than that, it is a good game to pass your time.
