Here is a list of 5 free online collaborative to do list websites. They can be used to easily create to-do lists by collaborating with others. You can simply create a to-do list and invite other users to collaborate and work together to create tasks, edit tasks, mark tasks as completed, and so on. Among these collaborative to-do list websites, some of them even allow you to choose whether you want to allow the collaborators to only view the tasks, or edit the tasks. Some of the websites even let you assign individual tasks to specific collaborators. You can use them to make a list, monitor, and achieve all your day to day pending tasks collaboratively.

Collaborative To Do List

There are also many software available like SaMotion, Task List, etc. which can be used to create to-do lists on your PC. But, they don’t offer the collaboration feature that these websites do. So, if you want to create to-do lists by working together with other users, then these online collaborative to-do list websites are for you.

Todoist:

Todoist is probably one of the best free online collaborative to do list websites available. It allows you to easily create to do lists by collaborating with others. You can simply create a custom project and start adding the to-do list items on that project. Then you can share the project with others such that they can join the project to collaborate and interact with the to-do list items. The collaborators can simultaneously create new tasks, edit existing tasks, mark tasks as completed, etc. with you in real-time. Another interesting feature is that you can assign individual tasks to specific collaborators of your choice. It lets you add as many tasks as you want to a project and set a different due date for each item.

It also supports recurring due dates so that it can automatically repeat the to do list items for you. You can even set different priority levels for each item on your project. There are many other useful features offered by Todoist which can be used to add project comments, sub-tasks, sub-projects, etc. The free version of Todoist is limited to 80 active projects, 5 collaborators per project, etc. But, you can purchase the premium version to avoid these limitations and also use some additional features like tasks labels, reminders, file uploads, and more.

Google Keep:

Google Keep is actually a free note taking website which also comes with the option to create to-do lists online. Not only that, it also allows you to collaborate with others to create, edit, and complete to do tasks. The best feature of this website is you can use it to create unlimited notes and then add different to-do items in each note. After creating a to-do list, you can invite as many collaborators as you want to your to-do list. Similar to “Todoist”, the collaborators will be able to create new tasks, edit existing items, and mark tasks as completed with you in real-time. You can collaborate and add unlimited tasks to a single to-do list note.

One of the most useful features of Google Keep is that it allows you to set reminders such that you will be alerted when you’re due to complete the tasks on the list. You can set the reminder time whenever you want from the note settings. Apart from that, you can also customize the to-do lists in many ways like you can add images, add drawings, create new labels, change the color of notes, and more.

Evernote:

Evernote is one of the best online note taking websites, similar to Google Keep. Apart from letting you add notes, it also allows you to create to-do lists by collaborating with other Evernote users. You can simply create a to-do list using the “Checkbox” feature and then invite the collaborators. You can manually choose whether you want to allow the collaborators to only edit tasks, view tasks, or do both. You can add tons of tasks to a single to-do list with collaboration. The free version of Evernote is quite limited from the notes perspective, but there is no limitation on the number of collaborators which you can invite to your to-do lists.

Similar to Google Keep, this one also allows you to manually set reminders to get notified when you’re due to complete tasks. You can choose any date and time you want for getting reminders. It also offers other options using which you can add hyperlinks, images, documents, and use various text formatting options like bold, italic, bullet list, numbered list, and so on. The indent option can be used to make to-do list items as sub-task by moving them to the right of the parent task. You will also see the options to share your to-do lists with others via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email, etc.

Remember The Milk:

Remember The Milk is another useful online collaborative to-do list website which you can use to create to-do lists with others. Using this website, you can simply create a to-do list by adding multiple tasks to the list. Once you create a list, you can start inviting other users for collaboration. You can invite multiple users to your private lists and also assign individual tasks to different collaborators. The free version of this website allows you to assign a task to only two collaborators. You and the collaborators will be able to add new items to the list, edit the existing items, complete tasks, etc. at the same time. But, it also gives the option to choose whether you want to allow the collaborators only to edit, view, or do both with your to-do list.

While adding a task, you can also set a due date by selecting a date and time manually. Some of the other useful features of “Remember The Milk” allow you to prioritize tasks, add tags, add an estimated time, insert location, and more. There is one useful feature which allows you to repeat to-do list tasks automatically for the specified time. The predefined labels can also help you easily monitor your pending tasks, completed tasks, and overdue tasks.

MobisleNotes:

MobisleNotes is a simple online note taking websites using which you can either create plain notes or to-do lists. The best feature of this website is that it allows you to create to-do lists by collaborating with others. You can invite unlimited collaborators to your to-do list and allow them to create new items, edit your items, and mark items as completed. Unlike other websites explained in this post, this one doesn’t allow you to add or edit tasks with collaborators simultaneously. That means once any user opens the to-do list for editing, the other collaborators will not be able to use the to-do list and will receive a message saying “Note is being edited by another collaborator”.

This website also allows you to add as many tasks as you want to a single to-do list. One of the useful features is that you can add sub-task on your to-do lists. For this, all you got to do is click on any of the items and then press the “Tab” key. This will move the item to the right of the above item making it the parent item of the sub-task. It also comes with the option to share the to-do lists with others by setting the privacy as “Read-Only”. Apart from that, it doesn’t have any additional options to customize the to-do lists.
