Google Activity Tracker is a free online time tracking tool and task manager. There once was a time when, if you needed to keep track of the amount of time you spent on a particular task, or needed to remember to do something. You looked at a clock or would write a note to yourself. But not anymore. Now we have software to track our every move. Google Activity Tracker is the online version of this.
Time Tracking and Monitoring All Your Activities
The Google Activity Tracker is a web-based application that you use to keep track of important dates and activities. If you need to track billable hours and don’t have a piece of software to do this for you, you can use the Activity Tracker. You can categorize your activities in a variety of ways, keep track of billable hours, and set alarms.
Non-Intuitive Interface-No Instructions
I spent almost an hour flailing around with this application trying to figure out how to use it. I didn’t get very far in learning how to use it. If I really needed to know how to use it, I can see myself taking a few hours doing so, but, my time is too valuable for that. I’d rather write things down or pay a little money for something that has instructions.
Free Version-Ads and Limited Support
The ads that Google has placed in the free version make it even harder to use. They’re placed in the middle of and all around your entries. This makes it even harder to use than not having any help files or instructions on how to navigate the interface.
There is a paid option, which is admittedly affordable at twelve U.S. dollars a year. This removes the ads and gives you premium support. Free users have limited support options and, they’ll need every bit of support that they can get.
There are better options available than Google Activity Tracker for someone who needs something to help them track their time usage. You’ll get better support, an easier to use interface, and better support options.
