Sort Those Tabs is a free tab sorter for Chrome that lets you sort tabs in a Chrome window by title and domain. In addition to this there is even a feature in it to remove duplicate tabs. But in this post here, I will talk about its functionality to sort tabs. There are tab grouping extensions out there which let you group tabs but they leave tabs unorganized.
In case you want to have sorted tabs in Chrome or any Chromium based browser, this extension here will help you. All you need to do is activate it whenever you want and then sort tabs in 2 clicks. For now, it has only two filters available but I hope they add more in the coming updates. If you are working with multiple Chrome windows then it can work there as well.
Free Tab Sorter for Chrome to Sort Tabs by Title and Domain
In this post, I will use Sort Those Tabs on Chrome. But it will work on other Chromium based browsers too. That means, apart from Chrome, you can easily use it on Brave, Opera, Edge, and Comodo.
So, open some tabs in Chrome and then activate this extension. Click on its icon to do that and it will analyze the current as well as other opened windows and will show them to you. You can see all the tabs there and the sorting options are there on the top side.
Now, you can either sort them by domain. Or, you can sort them by their title. Depending on what sorting criteria you choose, it will sort the tabs for you and you can see the preview there. To finally, apply the changes, you have to click on the Apply button from the top right side.
After applying the changes, it will sort the tabs in the window based on the specified criteria. From the preview window, you can also opt to close some tabs as well. And not only that but it can also detect duplicate tabs and you can opt to close them too.
If you are looking for a free tab sorter for Chrome or a Chromium based browser then you are at the right place. Just use the extension I have mentioned here to do this in just 2 clicks. I liked the way it works because most tab sorters can only sort tabs by URL. I needed something for domain and here is the one that has this feature.
