Mercury Browser is a free iPad browser to browse internet on iPad. Mercury browser is also available for iPod touch and iPhone. This browser for iPad allows you easy and fast internet browsing.

The browser interface looks pretty good and is easy to use on iOS device. Like other browsers, you can do multiple tabbed browsing, enable full-screen mode, private mode browsing, and much more. The browser interface looks somewhat like Google Chrome browser and the search bar in the browser is same as you find in Firefox browser.

Like Google Chrome browser, this iPad browser also provides you multiple themes. You can select and apply any of the theme to make your browser look beautiful and different everyday. The best part of this browser for iPad which I liked the most is the font size and brightness control from within the browser app. You can easily decrease or increase the font size of the webpage and control the brightness of your iPad screen. Keeping the brightness low saves your iPad battery life.

Mercury Browser Options

One of the unique feature of this Mercury browser for iPad is its multi-touch gestures browsing. The browser app provides multiple gesture types which makes your web browsing convenient and faster on your iPad. These are quite similar to what we discussed in Dolphin browser for iPad earlier.

Another good part of this Mercury Browser for iPad is its secure passcode feature. The browser app allows you to set a specific passcode which makes your web browsing more secure. You can easily set a 4 digit specific passcode and save your browser from being accessed by someone.

I was Unable To Do…..

The only thing which I was unable to set-up was its browser syncing. Mercury browser allows you to sync with Firefox and Google Chrome browser with your login credentials. After syncing, Mercury browser should import all the bookmarks of your Google Chrome browser or Firefox browser. But, I tried importing the bookmarks by syncing with my current Google Chrome browser. Due to some unknown reason, I was unable to import bookmarks from my Google Chrome browser to Mercury browser for iPad. Not sure if I missed something.
