A cue file or cue sheet is actually a text file that describes the contents of an audio file with multiple tracks (mainly CD) in great detail. It is a simple breakdown of all tracks used in a CD or long audio file. A cue sheet generally contains the path of music tracks, track name, artist name, timings, and more.
