Ping is a simple and free ping app for Windows 8 that offers you the ability to ping in style on your Windows 8 device. The app has a cool looking interface that makes even pinging something quite fun.
If you open up the command prompt to enter the ping command then you will have to look at the boring interface and also you can enter only one ping command in one command prompt window. The app provides you with a simple interface where you can ping multiple web address or ip address i.e hosts.
You can start by downloading the ping app for Windows 8 from the link provided at the end of the article; after you have downloaded the app run it and you will have a interface in front of you as shown below in the screenshot.
Now just enter the web address or IP in the provided text box and click on the play button and the app will start pinging the provided address or IP. Now you will be presented with the information in a easy to understand graphical interface that will be continuously updated as seen below. Also other information like IP address, success rate, minimum time, average time, maximum time will be presented to you.To stop pinging just click on the pause button which can be seen in the above screenshot. When you are dealing with multiple hosts and you want to control the whole ping process then just right-click to bring up the option menu as shown in the screenshot below. Now you will be provided with the controls so that you can start or stop all the pings occurring within the app. Also you have the option to save or load which is located on the left side of the option menu.
