Tab Badge is a free plugin for Firefox 4 that shows count of new Facebook messages in tab of Firefox. Apart from Facebook, it shows message count for Twitter, Gmail, Google Reader, and so on. If you have any of these websites open in a Firefox tab, you can immediately see the count of new messages in a glance, without a need to go to each tab.
Tab Badge works only in Firefox 4, and is very intuitive. It displays number of unread messages within a Red circle, to draw your attention to it. Also, this even works if some tabs are pinned.

Sometimes people might be already using notifiers for some websites, so developer has now added a feature to Blacklist the websites on which you do not want the badge to be displayed. This ensures that you do not end up seeing message count twice in the tabs.
If number of new messages are too many, it displays them with a plus sign (like, 200+).

Tab Badge is a very useful extension, as it lets you keep an eye on new messages in Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Google Reader, without a need to actually keep checking these websites separately.
