ProtectYourVision is a free online application that alerts you to exercise your eyes after a pre-defined time. This is a very useful online eye exercise app if you spend many hours on your computer. You do not need to download or install anything to use this online eye exercise app.
ProtectYourVision is very simple to use. Switch on your personal eyes assistant (a nice animated robot called EVO)every time when you are working in front of a screen. Simply go to Protectyourvision.org website and click “Start EVO”.

You can choose between 3 different modes:
- 20-20-20 – after every 20 min spent in front of a computer a 20 sec break is signalized, in this time focus the eyes on an object 20 feet (6 meters) away, or just close your eyes. The mode is mostly recommended by oculists.
- 60-5 - after every hour spent in front of a computer a 5 min break is signalized with a sound alarm and screen blackout.
- Custom – define by yourself break’s frequency and length.
In each mode you can switch on/off sound alarm and screen blackout. During the break your assistant will recommend you to do some eyes gymnastics, which prevent eyes from optical system abnormalities. Other interesting software you can try is F.lux.
ProtectYourVision is quite simple, but is especially useful simply because you don’t need to download or install anything, and you can access this on any computer.
