SingSnap is a free online karaoke community which allows you to not only watch and listen to other members’ recordings, but also create your very own audio or video recordings of your favorite songs. All you have to do is sign up, get a mic and start recording!

As a free member of the community, you can choose from a wide variety of songs from various categories. But SingSnap offers much more than just recording your song and sharing it with the world! It allows you to comment on other users’ recordings, discuss various topics with the members of the community at the forum section, or chat at the public chat room. The online store sells a variety of items, such as mugs, t-shirts and keychains with the SingSnap logo on them!

If you want to join the karaoke fun, just go to singsnap.com and sign up. The minimum browser requirements are: Firefox 1.0, Google Chrome 1.0, Internet Explorer 6.0 and Safari 3.0, and you need to have the Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer.
Listening to other members’ recordings does not require any special software, but, if you choose to create your own, you will need to run a setup wizard that will detect your microphone and camera in order to optimize the settings for your recording session. This is necessary only once. Then, you are ready to go!
Choose the song you want to record and sing it along on the SingSnap recorder. When you’re done, you can preview your recording, redo it if you’re not satisfied, and finally save it to your account.
You can either keep your songs private, or share them with the rest of the members. Bear in mind that you cannot download your recordings to your computer.
