MSQRD (Masquerade) is a free iPhone app to capture animated video selfies with hilarious masks in real-time. It allows you to create amazing and funny videos by applying animated filters like of a Tiger, Monkey, Bear, Rabbit Ears, and much more. The best part is that all the filters can be applied to your video selfies in real-time or live. That means you don’t have to record your videos first and then apply animated filters.
It only lets you apply masks to your face while recording video selfies. After you’re done with creating hilarious videos, simply show them off to your friends via different messengers like Facebook, WhatsApp, etc. It is quite similar to another iPhone app “Crazy Heliumbooth” which also lets you apply funny filters while recording videos.
Note: It is the beta version of Masquerade Face Tracking & 3D Effects Rendering, but still lets you apply some filters while taking video selfies.
How to Capture Animated Video Selfies by Applying Real-Time Filters:
Step 1: All you need to do is open up the app, and put your face within the facial area at the center of the screen.
Step 2: To apply animated filters, you have to simply swipe horizontally on the screen. The filters will get auto applied and you don’t have to do it manually. It offers more than 10+ animated masks that you can apply in real-time.
Step 3: When you’re done with adjusting your face with the filter, tap the big round button at the bottom to start recording a video selfie.
Step 4: In addition to that, if you don’t want to record a video selfie, then you can also take a picture with the selected filter. It also has an option to toggle rear and back camera.
Step 5: When you’re done with applying animated filters and creating hilarious video selfies or photos, you can save and share them with the world via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Email, iCloud, and more.
My Final Verdict:
It is quite an interesting and fun app for iPhone to create hilarious video selfies by applying animated masks. All you have to do is place your face and swipe horizontally in order to apply effects, that’s all.
