Apple Music is Apple’s online music streaming service which is a direct competitor to Spotify. But, for the time being, it’s not as versatile as Spotify. Free Web Client for Apple Music without iTunes
Maeve is an unofficial web player for Apple Music. It lets you listen to a 30-second preview of the songs without login. And, as you can log in with your Apple Music account, it brings all your Apple Music collection to you. By default, it shows you a mixture of “Browse” and “For You” sections and you can access all the other sections from the navigation panel at the left side of the screen.
With Maeve, you can browse the whole Apple Music library and listen to any song you want. You can also create playlists and add songs to queue with shuffle and repeat. It also has lyrics option for the currently playing song that fetches the lyrics database from Genius.
Apple Music has country-wise Top 100 playlists. Maeve offers the same with an interactive map on top. Instead of looking for a country from the list, you can simply select a country on the map and it will open that Top 100 playlist for you.
Appearance
Unlike iTunes/Apple Music, Maeve also offers a few themes to customize the appearance of the player. You can change the theme and buttons-layout from the Settings. You can also connect to your Last.fm account from there. This will add a dedicated Last.fm section in the navigation panel where you can access your Last.fm collection.
