Connecting Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr etc. in one platform using this Windows 8 Social Network app:
Like I said before, using this Windows 8 Social Network app, you can actually connect multiple top social networks, including Facebook, twitter, instagram, tumblr, and more, at one single platform. The app has a good concept, as it is very useful. Now in place of opening multiple separate apps for different social networks, you can open just one single app, and get all the feeds from multiple networks in one single platform. The app is very lightweight, so downloading it was easy. The app does remove the long, time consuming and cumbersome process of opening different tabs in web browser for different social networks.
Just launch the app and you’ll get the Home Screen, containing a list of social networks supported. Simply log on to the desired social networking site, by clicking on the icon of that website. This gives you options to get logged in to that website using your credentials. Once you get logged in, the app automatically shows all the latest feeds from that social network, arranged in a top down manner in the next screen called Flow. You can simply connect to more social networks, by clicking on the Big Plus button on the right of the feeds. This shows a list of the supported social networks. Simply click on the desired one, and follow the same process.
Flow is the screen where all the feeds from your friends gets displayed. It is more like the home page of various social networking sites. All the latest feeds shows up first, then follows older feeds. Right click on this screen and you’ll get two flyouts, containing buttons including: Me, Flow, Inbox, People, News, Compact, Combine, Favorites, Refresh, Zoom In, Zoom Out. These buttons are very useful for viewing all feeds.
Click on Me and, you’ll get directed to the Me screen, which shows all the posts and activities, together, done by you in all social networking websites. Click on Inbox, and the app shows all the inboxes from different website. Clicking on People shows the people whom you are following and connected to. The News is different from Flow, because News, basically shows actual news from different news sources like CNN, BBC World News etc. This is a good feature included, because this Windows 8 social network app not only keeps you connected with friends but also gives you up-to-the-minute real world news.
Two buttons at the bottom flyout: Combined and Compact, are used to change the feeds viewing mode. Combined, combines all the feeds from different sites together, while Compact shows feeds under their respective sites, separated as rows.
This app came with a really good looking interface; which can be changed according to your choices. This is one good feature that I liked because it allows users to add a little personal touch to the app. This Windows 8 social network app has multiple beautiful background images, which can be changed by using the Windows 8 Settings Charm (Win + I). You can also upload a picture that you like as the background image from your hard disk.

Meople.Net sure is a handy Windows 8 Social Network app. You can follow new people, view their profiles, view latest posts and make a comment on them, and many more. To summarize, you can do almost everything that you do in the social networking websites related to posts and feeds, in a different but beautiful looking app; all at one place. Though there are few bugs here and there like crashing, and switching between apps made the app start from beginning (that is the Flow Screen). Still, it’s really handy and way better than most of social networking apps. All in all, a good Windows 8 Social Network App.
