Gift Hunter is a free Windows 8 Christmas Game app. In this game, you have to collect more gifts by hitting the bubbles that contain gifts. Also, Santa himself will appear in the game sometimes. If you are able to click on Santa, you would be able to save the 5 lives that you are given in the game. But, if you are not able to click on Santa, then one life is taken away. If that happens 5 times then your game is over as all your lives depend on you clicking Santa when he pops up.
Seems easy enough!!!!!!! Well here comes the interesting part, apart from the gifts, the bubbles may sometime contain skulls. If you hit the skull by chance, your game would be over.
The game also gives the option to share the score you have made, using the option that appears after the game is over .

As you get to the game after launching it, the Main Menu of the game would be shown to you.
You can straight away use the New Game option that is available here. As you launch the game,
- You will see some socks on the screen.
- After sometime, gifts will start appearing from the socks, enclosed in bubbles.
- Five Santa lives will be given to you in the beginning of the game.
- Now, as the bubbles with the gifts start appearing in front of you, you have to hit on the bubble to collect the gift that is present in the bubble.
- Sometimes, Santa will appear during the game. See that you hit the Santa every time. If you miss, one of your Santa lives will be lost. You will be able to play only until one of the Santa lives is available to you. After the point when you lose the last Santa life, your game will be over.
- You would also encounter some bubbles in which skulls would be present. If you hit any of such bubble, your game will be over.
After your game is over, each time your score would be displayed to you.
Your score would be displayed as the gifts you have grabbed. Apart from that, the option to change the theme of the game will also appear. You can choose from 7 different themes. Use the retry option, and the game will start with a new theme. Use the high score option, and you would be shown all the scores earned on the system you are using.
