Pulse.fm is a cool website to listen to some awesome music. What’s so special about this website you ask? Well to start with this website streams live music from places which play great music. By places I mean actual places in USA which play great music and you can tune in live online, to listen to this music. Right now, there are 4 places listed on the homepage of the website, out of which 3 are in New York and 1 from Michigan. You got that right; the music streaming is done in real time from these places mentioned on the homepage.
The four listed places to stream live music from are:
- Abraco Espresso, New York, NY
- Detroit Thread, Hamtramck, MI
- A1 Records, New York, NY
- Superior Elevation, Brooklyn, NY
All the four live music streaming places have text describing what kind of music they play listed under the name of the place. For example, under Detroit Threads it says Techno and House, so if you are interested in that kind of music then you can go ahead and tune in to that place. This can be seen in the above screenshot.
For tuning in you would need to click on the play button you will see exactly opposite to the name of the place. This can be seen in the screenshot above.
Once you click the play button a new page comes up with a small description of the place you just tuned into. I tuned into Detroit Threads and the below screenshot shows the description or a short write up on the location.
Currently the website only features these four locations from where you can listen to some awesome music. In case you know a location or have a place where you play awesome music, then you can click on the button on the top right corner which says “Get your own station“. Clicking this will let you drop a email to the developers of the website letting them know that you are interested in adding your location.
I tried out this website in Firefox browser first, but was unable to play music in that. The bottom tab showed me that the music was being streamed live, but I couldn’t hear anything on my end. Then I tried the website out on Chrome, and it worked like a charm. So if any of you guys have the same problem, I guess just try it out in another browser.
I tuned into all the four locations one by one, and I have to admit that I absolutely loved the kind of music being played or being streamed. The Detroit Threads location was the one I liked the most. I’m completely hooked to it and have been listening to the same place since the past 2 hours.
So I would recommend all the music lover to try out this website and stream some awesome music. It just might make your day.
