The Enchanted Crayon is a free virtual coloring book for children of ages 3 and above. It teaches kids how to interact with the computer and basics of how to select a color for coloring, etc. There are 12 different drawings a child can select from for coloring. These coloring pages can also be printed to color by hand. The color palette has wide range of colors to choose from.
When you go to the website of this coloring book, you will be greeted with a rather colorful interface. A small description of the coloring book would be there and you can also see the Windows requirements to download this coloring book. Then at the bottom of the window you can see the download link to download this virtual coloring book for kids.
Click this link and a exe file will be downloaded to your system. Run the exe file. A installation wizard will come up asking you to select the language of installation. You can select out of three languages which are English, Russian, and Polish. After that you can continue with the installation. After that the interface of the coloring book will come up in front of you, as shown in the screenshot below.
The arrow buttons with hands pointing in either direction are for moving forward and backward between coloring pages. There are a total of 12 pages to choose from. Once you are sure of a coloring page click the drawing icon button given below the image. This will open the coloring page in full screen with a color palette on the right side, as can be seen in the screenshot below.
Just choose the color you want to do in the drawing. Clicking on that color will select the color. Now you can easily go to the drawing and fill color in the portions you like. After you are done coloring, as you can see in the screenshot below, you can print the colored page.
Print outs can also be taken of blank coloring pages, so you can color them by hand. The scissor icon will reset the colors you have filled in and return the drawing to blank page again. The cross icon will take you back to the coloring page selection screen.
