If you are using SMS to send payment to anyone, it is just as simple as typing “pay ted 2.35 for coffee” and then sending this to Venmo’s number. Venmo will then deduct $2.35 from your account, and transfer it to the user whose username is ted. Similarly, you can request payment from someone by just sending a SMS to Venmo.
