How to Stop People from Expending your Instagram Profile Picture?
First thing is that you need to make sure that you have the latest Instagram app. Just open Goole Play Store or Apple App Store. Now, your just open the Instagram App and then tap on the hamburger icon form the top right side and go to Settings and privacy.
Now, scroll down a bit and then go to the Account privacy page.
From here, you have 2 options. One option is to turn on or off the private profile. And beneath this, you will see a new option to disable profile picture zoom/expanding. It is called here: Allow profile picture expansion.
Once you enable this option, then you will see that your profile picture will not be zoomed anymore. Others can only swipe on your profile to see your avatar. The profile picture will not react on a click or a tap or double tap.
