Plant Finder is a free Windows 10 plant database app for all the plant lovers who want to learn about plants they have in their garden or new plants. The app is dedicated to plants and gives you various information about each plant like the water needs of the plant, the light requirements of the plant, etc. A lot of people are fond of gardening and want to make a beautiful garden for themselves. But due to lack of knowledge, they are not able to maintain their garden. Plant Finder is one app which can help you out in maintaining the plants you have. The app has a huge database of plants with over 700 different varieties of plants listed in it. When you launch this app you will come across an interface like the one shown in the screenshot below.
Here you have plants sorted out in alphabetical order and divided into categories. The left side of the app windows has the menu where all these categories can be seen. The categories have further division of plants in alphabetical order. You can either browse through the categories looking for your favorite plants or you can use the search bar at the top right to look for a particular plant.
The major categories of plants that you will find in this app are house plants, ornamental plants, bulbs and perennials, evergreen trees and shrubs, deciduous trees and shrubs, bamboos and ornamental grasses, marsh and aquatic plants, and herbs and spices. Each of these categories have various plants in them put under alphabetical order. When you click on a particular category the plants inside it will be listed in a tile view which can be seen in the screenshot below.
On this page you will see a image of the plant, its common name, and botanical name. You can browse through the list and look for plants that you have. Clicking on a particular plant tile will open it up in full screen as shown in the screenshot below.
This page will show a bigger image of the plant along with information like water requirement, light requirement, humidity, fertilizing needs, and maintenance level. You will find same kind of information for all the plants mentioned in the app. From the top right corner you can even share this page with your friends. Apart from sharing there are also options for making the page text bigger or smaller.
The best part of the app is that it even works without internet connection.
