CodeSnippetSearch is a free tool that lets you search code snippets on GitHub using natural language. Here this simple tool uses machine learning to understand the user queries and get you the code snippets accordingly. Right now it supports programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, Go, Javascript, and Ruby are supported. The main UI of the search tool looks like a search engine where you have to enter a search query. The search results that it lists are arranged according to the match rating. You can just see the code snippet it found and then just use it anywhere you like.

If you want to try a different kind of code search on GitHub to find some code snippets then use this tool. Just enter a few terms in natural language and get the code. Currently, there are no filters to control the search results but that would be an improvement. This is a straightforward search tool where you can just search and it will fetch your co snippets right from GitHub. You can go to that particular snippet and then use it or just test it.

In order to get started with this simple tool, you can just access it from here. Next, after you reach the main interface, you can just input your search query there as there is no registration required. All you need to do is just enter a query in a natural language like “qpushbutton on pyqt5” and it will list the corresponding results there.

The search results that it lists are sorted via match rating. It calculates the match rating using the machine learning and other algorithms that it uses under the hood. The search results have snippets from almost all the programming languages that it supports. It is as simple as that.
