Essential Weather free Windows 8 weather app that bring you detailed weather information in a simple interface. Essential Weather is completely free and is available in the ‘news and weather section’ in the Windows Store.

This Windows 8 weather app is fast and fluid, and it is quite light weight: just under a MB. Essential Weather provides you with the weather details in 7 days overview or 48 hour overview. The 48 hour overview provides you with detailed graphs that plot the average, max, and min temperature.

You can download Essential Weather for Windows 8 using link available at end of the post. After installation, just start it and you will be greeted by the screen below.

Click on any one of your choice to add them to the app or you can simply let the app decide by clicking on the ‘Use current location’ button.

Also you are provided with a graph that shows you how the weather has changed in 48 hours.
