Friends Feed is a Google Chrome extension for Facebook which displays news feed by your friends and pages you follow only. Apart from Google Chrome this extension is also available for Safari browser. Everyone who is fed up of their Facebook timeline being full of things they don’t want to see will love this extension. This extension will hide all the things from your timeline and will only show you updates made by your friends and from pages that you follow. Installing this extension makes your timeline look so clean, that you would feel like using Facebook again.

This timeline only shows the updates which have been made by your friends. All the other things will be hidden, like comments made by your friends on other photos, likes by your friends, promotion pages, etc.
To install this extension go to the homepage of this website through the link given at the end of this article. You can also search for this extension in the Chrome webstore by its name.
From the homepage, click on download Chrome extension button. This will direct you to the Chrome webstore page of this extension. From here click the green button saying add to Chrome. This will add this extension to your Chrome browser.
When you go to your extensions manager page the extension would appear like shown in the below screenshot.
You can easily disable or enable the extension using the checkbox. It can also be removed easily using the remove recycle bin icon. Apart from this you can also use this extension in incognito mode by checking the given box. The options window when clicked will open a new tab, like the one shown below.
Here you can decide if you want to hide the unwanted posts from your Facebook timeline or you can also choose the fade out option. With the fade option the Facebook timeline will still show you all the updates on your timeline, but the ones which are not from your friends will be faded out. So it is still less distracting while going through your timeline.
Facebook timeline is so full of things you don’t want to see, like if one of your friends commented or liked some page or photo, it will appear on your timeline. This makes your timeline look too cluttered and you seldom miss important updates from your friends or from pages that you follow. This extension is perfect for cleaning up your timeline.
