You can choose the city and then get local recommendations for what to eat, where to go, what to see, what to do, and other similar stuff. This app is not like other travel apps out there where you can post reviews and recommend anything. The app has a curated community of users known as Localeurs who review and recommend everything that you will find on the app.
You can then favorite those recommendations and also add them to different lists like Places to Go, Places I’ve Been, Favorite Places, etc.. The app also lets you add your favorite Localeurs. Apart from this, you can check recommendations on the basis of Nearby Places, Recommendations, and Localeurs.
The app shows recommendations for Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, DC, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Using this iPhone Travel App to Get Local Recommendations for Cities:
You have to sign-in with your Facebook account to start using the Localeur app. Once you have logged in, you will see the home screen of the app which is set to Recommendations option. You have to scroll to go through all the recommendations.
You can see the option Recent Recs at top. Tap on it to specify the criteria for displaying recommendations. You can set the criteria as City (explained above), Refine (Recent/Most Popular Recs), and Category. You can choose from following categories: All, Art & Culture, Entertainment, Fitness & Outdoors, Food & Dining, Neighborhoods, Nightlife, and Shopping.
When you have set the criteria, then you can start checking all the recommendations and explore whole new things about the city selected by you. You have to tap on any of the recommendation to read a brief summary about it to know what makes it worth recommending. You can swipe left/right to check different recommendation while scroll the screen to see other recommendations at the same place.
You can add the recommendation to favorite and share it using the options at bottom right corner. You can also tap on any recommendation to add it to Places to Go, Places I’ve Been, and Favorites.
This way, you can set different criteria, get recommendations, browse them, and add them to your lists for future reference.

The other options of the app can be accessed via Navigation Drawer by tapping on three bar icon at top left. It has all the options divided in three categories: My Localeur, My Lists, and Discover.
