You are Awesome is a Chrome extension which does nothing apart from telling you how awesome you are. Who doesn’t like to hear how good they are. I guess this Chrome extension was developed keeping that in mind. I just stumbled upon this extension today and was wondering what it does exactly.
So I installed it on my browser, and clicked on the smiley icon of this extension. The icon immediately lit up with a smile and told me you are awesome. Well not told me literally, but showed a pop up saying “You are awesome”.
Somehow it just brought a smile to my face. Would have been nicer if it was an actual person saying that (hint to my husband, if he reads this). I guess it does work. If you are in a gloomy, dull mood, try this extension out. It is sure to bring a smile on your face.
After installing this extension when you right click on the icon, the pop up menu will show you a options link. Click on this link and you will see a page as shown below.
The best part about this extension is that you can either get random messages about your awesomeness or you have the choice to customize the messages you want to see. Just checkmark the check box you see at the end of the page in the screenshot above. You can enter either one message in the box or multiple messages seperated by “;”.
After customizing the smiley will have the messages as chosen by you. Probably ones which directly address you. Like the one I made for myself below. Lot of self admiring people in this world I would say.
I absolutely enjoyed installing this browser extension and I am definitely going to keep it for days when I’m feeling down. This could be a great way to cheer oneself up, because there is so much you can expect from your better half *evil grin*.
The only thing I wish it had was colors. If I could change the text color and make it bold with font size changes would have been an added advantage. But having said that even without colors I find this extension lovely.
Installing the extension is pretty straight forward. Search for this extension in Chrome web store or click here for quick access. Once on the extension page, click on the “Add to Chrome” button. Confirm the addition on the pop up window. That is it, you will see the smiley icon on your bookmarks bar.
Now whenever you feel you need some motivation, or you are stressed out, just go and click this smiley icon. It will be glad to show you a cheerful message made just for you. You don’t even need to write up fancy messages. Just the random message which says you are awesome is enough to make your day. Sometimes nice, inspirational words are all you need.
