Earth View is a free collection to see most stunning landscapes of our planet taken from space. We have come across some photos or wallpapers of earth’s landscape at some time or the other. We often seen to wonder how our planet is so beautiful and we end up exploring beautiful pictures of it. I have often found myself wondering while looking down from an airplane window, how does the land look like that, how are different colors formed on the landscape that I see? Well, the explanation might be technical, but they do make for a beautiful view.
Earth view basically offers you stunning photos of earth’s landscape taken from space. These photos are amazing to look at and make you curious about things. The website has a good collection of more than 1000 photos in its database.
How to see stunning landscapes on Google Earth:
Open the Earth View website using the link given at the end of this article. When the website opens you will see a beautiful interface as can be seen in the above screenshot. On this page click the explore images button to start browsing through the images.
When you start browsing your screen interface will look like above. You will have forward and previous arrows on both sides of the page. At the bottom right corner you will see the location of the place in picture. On top of the page you will see 4 options;
- Download: to download a image in JPEG format. Just click this download icon and a pop up will come asking you to download the image.
- Leanback Mode: when you click and start the leanback mode, the images will automatically keep changing after every few seconds, like a video. So all you can do is lean back in your seat and relax and watch the beautiful photos.
- Share: the share icon lets you share the image in 3 ways. Copy its link and paste anywhere for sharing, second is sharing through Facebook and third is sharing through Twitter.
- About: the last icon is the about section, which gives you more information about this website.
At the top center of the page you will see a show map button, when you click this button you will see a page like the one seen in the above screenshot. This map view shows the location of pictures which are available on this website. So in case you want to view photos of a particular location, you can simply click and see those.
Earth View also has a popular Chrome Extension, which can be accessed through this link. You can add this extension to your Chrome browser. Once added, every time you open up a new tab of the Chrome browser, a stunning landscape image will be displayed.
