Here is a very useful and free photo enlarger software that can enlarge images up to 2000%. The software is known as “Reshade Image Enlarger“. You also won’t face the quality issue, which is the best part of this software. This is simply awesome because other tools (like SmillaEnlarger) are also there to enlarge images, but the quality of output of this software is simply great. Earlier, this was a commercial software, but now it is absolutely free. This software lets you preview the enlarged portion and original image directly on its interface. This gives you a good idea of the output image.
You can also crop the image to focus only on a particular object and extract that part as the output image.
The software provides preview feature when you have to enlarge one image at a time. It also comes with the option to enlarge images in batch. But, previewing the enlarged part and image is not available for batch mode. Only image preview in thumbnail mode is possible in batch mode.
In the screenshot above, you can see I have enlarged the original image more than 50% and still both the images are looking same. Even though there would have happened some quality loss but it can’t be detected normally.
Also take a look at the screenshot below. You can see the original image and cropped output. The cropped output doesn’t look pixelated or blurred.
Note: The software can’t be very helpful when the original image size is already too small, like 200 pixels or less.
Using This Free Image Enlarger Software:
Download this software (here is the link) and install. When you open its interface, a sample image will already be there. The bottom right section shows the input image and the bottom left section provides the preview of the selected region. It supports BMP, TIFF, PNG, CUR, ICO, GIF, PNM, PCX, and JPEG images.
This free photo enlarger has three main tabs: Main Options, Advanced Options, and Batch Processing.
The Main Options tab helps you set the custom height and width for the output image. You can also set any of the preset screen resolutions. Apart from these options, you can enable Crop option and select the part that you want to crop and save as output image.
Some other options such as: set texture level, accuracy, denoise level, etc., can also be set using this tab. Add the changes and process the input image.
The second tab is Advanced Options tab. This tab is mainly useful when you have to save the output as JPG image. It is so because this tab lets you set the quality level for JPG image.
A few options like set the gradients smoothness and fidelity level can also be set using this tab.
Batch Enlarge Photos:
When you have to enlarge photos in bulk, you can use the last tab (Batch Processing). Here you can see the list of added images and get the thumbnail preview of the selected image. To select the output size, you need to get back to the first tab and select any of the preset screen resolutions or add the custom size.
Now you can get to the third tab and set the destination folder. You can also set other basic options like lock the final output size, enable stretching, and center-cropping.
Finally, you can use Batch button available at the top left side to process images and get bulk enlarged images.
This is one of the best image enlarger software for sure. It has become my favorite photo enlarger till I find something better. I think this software has almost everything that one can expect in an image enlarger. The zoom level feature is excellent. Also, processing the images in bulk is also a great option you can use. I can definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this software to you guys.
